What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
Happy clients which you generally get from excellent client service and generating capital growth in client portfolios. Not only are we investing for tax-efficient purposes, we are also looking to generate capital growth for our clients commensurate with investing in smaller companies.
What is the most challenging aspect of your role?
Convincing advisers and clients that the AIM market is not the ‘wild west’. There are, unfortunately, misconceptions about the quality of companies listed on AIM. Over the past 10 years the number of companies on AIM has fallen from c.1700 to just under 900 and the quality has vastly improved. Many successful household names such as Fevertree and ASOS have thrived on AIM, along with many less familiar names.
